Homes for Haiti Update

We are celebrating…the first 100 homes are complete and ready to ship to Haiti. If you have not been by the old Academy building at the corner of FM518 and I-45 to see the building going on, stop by and take a look. Work days for volunteers are Wednesday evenings 5-8, Fridays 9-4, and Saturdays 8-5. Anyone over the age of 12 is invited to help out. Skills are not required because on the job training is available. Donations are needed to help fund the efforts. It takes $600 to build and ship a home. If we don’t have materials, we can’t build homes. Your donations will provide the needed materials. We are working with other faith-based groups in this endeavor. Come be a part of this much needed effort. If you can’t help in the building, you can send donations to Friends Disaster Service, 925 E. Walker St. League City, Texas 77573 and earmark it for Haiti.
